Used in ASTM D96 for determining the amount of water and sediment in crude oil, D91 for measuring the amount of naphtha insoluble material in refined petroleum oils, D893 for determination of pentane and toluene insolubles in lubricating oils, D1093 for determining the acidity of distillation residue from gasoline, D1796 for determining water and sediment in fuel oils, D-1857 used to determine the amount of higher boiling constituents present in LP gas.
