Similar to our CG-1990, but with the addition of a 10 hour programmable timer. The timer allows the hotplate heating function to be shut off while leaving the stirring on. The timer can be set between 1 minute and 10 hours in 1 minute intervals. Manufactured for Chemglass Life Sciences by IKA WORKS, this magnetic hot plate stirrer incorporates two adjustable safety circuits and is indisputably at the top of their class in worldwide technology. A hot warning display indicating presence of any residual heat when the unit is switched off and a stirring bar crack detector are some of the newest features.

Unit can be PC controlled via the RS 232 interface and analog output. The front panel design with easy-to-read backlit LCS display allows easy control and reading of both the speed and temperature features. The heating plate is 135mm diameter and made from stainless steel for optimum heat transfer. The hot plate stirrer is protected against liquid and vapor penetration by an enclosed assembly (IP 42) which guarantees long service life. The overhanging corner protects the instrument抯 plugs and electrical connections from spills.
